HERITAGE TURKEYS: A word about turkeys: According to American Livestock Breeds Conservancy, the Midget White Turkey is critically endangered, while the Narragansett and the Royal Palm are threatened.The Bourbon Red Turkey is on the watch list. Here in NW Arkansas, starting in Spring of 2008, we will have hatching eggs and poults from these breeds: Narragansett, Bourbon Red, Royal Palm, Porter Calico and Midget White.
